October 10th, 2025
OG7GES Indigenous Group Inc has launched a $150,000 new post-secondary scholarship for students in Saugeen First Nation #29.
The OG7GES Indigenous Group Inc. program will award a post secondary scholarship, $3,000 annually to ten students to assist with their educational expenses beyond their first year, including travel, accommodation, tuition, and books.
We extend our gratitude to Chief Conrad Ritchie for his valuable time today.
As part of this initiative, OG7GES awarded the Post Secondary Scholarship on Friday to Zackary Bressette, a Power Engineering student from Saugeen First Nation who is currently enrolled at Cambrian College.
“Many of our young Indigenous people stand at an important crossroads in their journey, for mine this was a time when the right support made all the difference, said Jesse St.Pierre, President. “We’re proud to walk alongside them, helping open doors to meaningful opportunities. This is our mandate at OG7GES”
Students from Saugeen First Nation #29 who have completed their first year of post-secondary education or first year of a skilled trade-are eligible.
OG7GES aims to broaden the reach of its scholarship program in the future to include additional First Nation communities.
